Is each plan really unlimited?

On paid plans, developers can use Augment Code as much as they want—no overages or extra fees—so you don’t have to worry about tokens with each task.

On the Community plan, for fair use, we limit chats to 3,000 messages per month. All other features are unlimited.

The Community plan is made for single developer, unless you’re working on liberally licensed open-source software in which case we can accommodate a larger a team. Contact us to learn more.

What is the free trial of Augment?

By signing up for a free trial of the Professional plan, you are able to use the full power of Augment for 30 days without allowing AI training on your data. You’ll have unlimited usage of chat, completions, instructions, and Next Edit.

What happens at the end of the trial?

You have several options when your trial ends. You can choose to:

1. Upgrade to our Professional or Enterprise plan
2. Switch to our free Community plan
3. Simply stop using the extension

Rest assured that your data privacy is protected. We won't use any of your data to train our models unless you specifically choose to move to the Community plan. If you decide Augment isn't for you, you can simply stop using the extension and your data will remain private.

Do you train on my data during the trial period?

No - your data remains completely private during your trial. During your trial, you get all Professional plan benefits, which includes keeping your data private with no AI training. When your trial ends, you can:

1. Continue with the Professional or Enterprise plan to maintain data privacy
2. Switch to our free Community plan, which allows AI training with your data

We'll never use your data for training unless you give us explicit permission by choosing the Community plan.

Do you train on my data on a paid plan?

No. Professional and Enterprise plans exclude any AI training on your data as part of our Enterprise Terms of Service.

Why do you train on my data on the community plan?

We're able to offer a free community plan because your real world usage and data help us make our AI models even better. Think of it as a win-win where you get the most accurate developer AI while helping us improve! If you prefer to not have your data used in training, check out our paid plans.

How do I pay for Augment?

Great to hear you’re excited about Augment - you can keep using all Professional features for free during your 30-day trial! When your trial is coming to an end, we'll send you an email with simple instructions to:

• Choose between our Professional or Enterprise plans
• Or switch to our free Community plan if you prefer

In the meantime, enjoy exploring all the Professional features at no cost. We're updating our payment system to make the transition as smooth as possible for you.

What is an active user on the Enterprise plan?

On the Enterprise plan, you purchase monthly usage credits. Pre-paid credits only draw down when a team member uses Augment within a month.

How long do we have to use our Enterprise credits?

You have 12 months to use your credits. Unused credits will roll over with your renewal.

How do I stay on top of costs?

You only pay for what your team uses. Dashboards detail your team's usage. There are no hidden charges or fees. We will contact you before you run out of credits.

Do you draw down a credit if someone uses only one suggestion or one chat in a given month?

Yes, that will draw down a monthly seat credit.

How can we get more credits?

How are you Handling Security & Compliance?
